About Timothy Eberly: Designer, Photographer

Hello,

My name is Timothy Eberly.

Who am I and what do I do?

The first thing I want people to know about me is that I do a lot of different things. I don’t just do graphic design or illustration. I am also a photographer and a web developer. Although I have stepped away from developing I understand it enough to be able to communicate with the developers on a team. I have had the opportunity to code on certain projects as well, which saved the client the time and money it would take to hire a developer in addition to their designer.

In addition, I apply my developer knowledge and design skills to work together on the SEO portions of client’s sites.

A website’s success depends on all of these pieces coming together in one synergistic┬áproject. The design, the photography, the code, all of these things are crucial to the site’s SEO and marketability.

When it comes to producing graphics for an assignment I will often shoot my own stock images and build the graphics with SEO in mind. Then when they are found in a search they will do more than just look pretty. One third of the searches out there are for images, so it is never a good idea to ignore their importance, both in quality and in search engine optimization.

Other than work, what am I about?

I am pretty analytical in nature. I am the type of person that has to figure out better ways of doing things. This is can be an asset or drawback. On the one hand it means I am constantly looking for improvements, on the other it means I struggle with completing a task more so than some.

  • I am a family man.

  • I have three amazing kids. All three are in Jiu Jitsu, and have been studying it for over three years now.

  • I love my wife. I just wish I could spend more time with her.
  • I love my coffee. I might even be considered a coffee snob. čÖé
  • I believe in God. I strive to trust Him more every day.
  • I own a Cane Corso. What an amazing dog she is.

I am sitting in front of my computer most of the day either working on a project or learning how to do something new.

Well, that is me in a nut shell. If it helped, good, that is awesome.

Thanks.
